Your courier collection checklist.
Ready for the journey.
Prepare your parcels, pallets or bulky goods for collection: confirm the measurements, packaging, site access and loading arrangements, then work through the six-point checklist.

1. Describe and measure the goods.
Make an accurate item list. Record the packaged dimensions of each piece and the total consignment weight. Include the pallet or crate in your measurements, and tell us about anything that cannot be stacked or laid flat.
2. Choose suitable packaging.
Protect surfaces, corners and fragile parts. Secure loose components and make sure the packaging can support the weight of the item. For pallets, keep the goods stable and properly secured. Ask before booking if an item cannot be packaged normally.
3. Plan the access at both ends.
Check where the vehicle can stop, how far the goods must be carried and whether there are stairs, lifts or narrow doors. Explain any gates, access codes, height restrictions or site rules directly when arranging the booking.
4. Agree loading equipment and assistance.
Tell us whether a forklift or other equipment will be available. Additional handling help, a tail lift or a pallet truck must be arranged beforehand. Don’t assume these are included with every vehicle.
5. Make the handover clear.
Have the goods packed and accessible, make sure the collection contact knows what is being sent, and confirm that the recipient can receive the delivery within the agreed arrangements.
6. Tell us if something changes.
If the load grows, the access changes or the recipient becomes unavailable, contact us using your booking reference. Changes may affect the vehicle, timings or price and need to be reviewed.
Fragile, valuable or unusual?
Describe the goods and their value before booking so suitability, insurance arrangements and exclusions can be confirmed. Photographs can help explain your handling requirements.

Use this final check before collection. It stays on this page and is not sent to us.
Your booking confirmation sets out the agreed arrangements. This checklist does not change them or confirm a booking.
A few details, made clear.
How should I prepare packaging for collection?
Use packaging suited to the goods’ weight, shape and fragility, with vulnerable surfaces protected and loose parts secured. Include all packaging in your measurements and keep labels clear. Pallets should be stable on a suitable base. Discuss unpackaged, overhanging or unusual goods before booking, and use the preparation guide to check readiness at both addresses.
What if the goods or recipient will not be ready?
Contact booking support as soon as you know, using the booking reference. Give the new ready time or receiving restriction and confirm whether the original delivery deadline still applies. Waiting, a failed handover or a revised movement may affect the plan and price. Do not assume the driver can wait indefinitely or leave the goods somewhere else without agreement.
What loading and unloading help is included?
The four UK road options include basic, safe assistance from one driver for packed goods at an easily accessible ground-floor entrance, without stairs or a long carry. Waiting, loading and unloading share the selected service’s included stop-time allowance. Intensive work, additional people or specialist equipment need prior review and an agreed plan. International assistance is confirmed individually.
Can you move fragile or high-value items?
Describe the item, its value, packaging, permitted orientation and any special handling or no-transfer requirement before booking. Photographs can help explain the goods and their protection. We need to confirm suitability and the relevant liability and insurance arrangements for that consignment. A Fragile label alone does not establish specialist handling or cover.
