Supplier collections and customer deliveries.

You may need goods collected from a Plymouth supplier for a Cornish address, equipment delivered to Exeter or a consignment sent from Devon to another part of the UK. Give the collection and delivery addresses together, with the goods-ready time and the recipient’s receiving hours.

For addresses around Plymouth, Exeter, Torbay, Newton Abbot, Tiverton, Barnstaple or elsewhere in Devon, the exact location and access matter more than the nearest town name. Include a building, unit or site entrance where needed. Our coverage guide shows illustrative destinations, rather than a timetable of fixed runs.

Check rural approaches and busy receiving points.

A rural collection may involve a narrow approach or limited turning space; a business delivery may require a booked loading bay. Describe the actual conditions at both addresses. For a site with several entrances, give the route to the agreed handover point rather than relying on the main reception postcode.

  • Explain gates, height limits and any vehicle restrictions.
  • Confirm where the goods will be waiting, including floor level.
  • Give the goods-in window and any appointment reference.
  • State what unloading equipment and help are available.

Choose around timing, size and handling.

For an urgent part or document, include the essential deadline when requesting same-day delivery. The journey needs to be assessed against the ready time and suitable transport. A planned supplier collection can instead be discussed through scheduled delivery.

For pallets or bulky goods, provide packaged dimensions, weight and item count. Mention anything that must remain upright or needs additional handling. Agree a second person, lifting equipment or unusual access before booking.

Make regular and international enquiries specific.

For recurring work, describe your normal routes, frequency and the days when volumes change. A trade account enquiry can bring those requirements together. It does not reserve a journey or confirm payment terms.

European and worldwide movements to or from Devon are reviewed for the actual shipment. Include both countries, the goods, value and purpose in an international enquiry. Start with a quote for a straightforward UK delivery; email multi-stop routes or unusual requirements.

A few details, made clear.

View all questions & answers
Do you collect and deliver outside Cornwall?

Yes. We arrange deliveries from Cornwall to other UK destinations, collections elsewhere for delivery into Cornwall and UK-wide journeys. European and worldwide shipments can also be reviewed. Give both ends of the route rather than only the destination, together with the goods and any deadline.

What if there are stairs, a long carry or difficult access?

Explain the floors, carry distance, doorway and stair dimensions, stopping place and the goods’ size and weight. Photographs can help clarify the route from the vehicle to the handover point. Additional handling and any extra person must be arranged beforehand; selecting a larger vehicle does not provide a two-person crew or confirm safe access.

My town is not shown on the map. Can I still ask for a delivery?

Yes. The map shows examples for exploring coverage, not every address we can consider. Use the actual collection and delivery postcodes in your enquiry. A missing map label does not mean we cannot serve the route; the individual journey, goods and access still need to be checked.

Does the Vehicle Finder guarantee that my load fits?

No. It compares your entered goods with category guide dimensions and payload. For identical items it checks a simple arrangement without stacking; mixed loads need individual planning. The actual vehicle’s usable space, door openings, wheel arches, load restraint, access and equipment still need to be confirmed. A suggested category does not reserve a vehicle.
