Pallet delivery for business stock and equipment
A single pallet for a customer, several pallets from a supplier or regular stock transfers between sites each need a clear loading and delivery plan. We arrange business pallet deliveries within Cornwall, to and from the rest of the UK and on UK-wide routes.
Give the number of loaded pallets, the collection ready time and the delivery requirement. For urgent work, same-day suitability depends on the route, suitable transport and loading arrangements. European and worldwide pallet deliveries are reviewed individually by email.
Measure the pallet with its goods on it
Provide the full length, width and height of every loaded pallet, including the base, packaging and anything that projects beyond it. Give the weight of each loaded pallet and the total consignment weight.
State whether goods can be stacked, must remain upright or have a high centre of gravity. A description such as one standard pallet does not tell us its loaded height, weight or handling needs.
Confirm the unloading arrangements before collection
Tell us whether a forklift is available at both addresses and whether delivery is to a loading bay or ground level. A tail lift or pallet truck is something to request in advance, not equipment to assume is included.
Gravel, slopes, steps, soft ground and tight access can prevent the intended unloading method. Explain the surface and space available, together with booked receiving slots and site vehicle restrictions.
Receiving slots and regular supplier collections
If a warehouse or customer requires a booked receiving slot, include the booking reference, delivery entrance and site contact. Tell us who is responsible for arranging the slot and how long goods will be ready for collection.
For recurring business work, share your usual routes, pallet counts, collection frequency and any seasonal changes. A trade account enquiry can cover service and invoicing requirements; account facilities and regular collections must be agreed individually.
Secure the load and prepare the handover
Goods should be stable on a suitable pallet, secured against movement and protected from contact with straps or adjacent items. Loose parts, overhang and damaged packaging need attention before collection.
For awkward equipment or an unusual load, email photographs, measurements and the route. We can review the transport and handling requirements before a booking is agreed.
Useful next steps
A few details, made clear.
How should I measure and weigh my goods?
Measure each complete item after packaging: length, width and height, including any crate, pallet or overhang. Give the gross weight and the number of pieces. Tell us if an item must remain upright, cannot be stacked or has a fragile surface. For the Vehicle Finder, weight is per item and quantity is the number of identical packed items.
Does choosing a Luton include a tail lift or pallet truck?
Do not assume that a category name confirms equipment availability or suitability for your load. State the equipment needed at each address. The actual lift platform, safe working load, combined weight being lifted and ground conditions need checking separately from the vehicle payload. Include the weight of any handling equipment that must travel on the lift.
What loading and unloading help is included?
The four UK road options include basic, safe assistance from one driver for packed goods at an easily accessible ground-floor entrance, without stairs or a long carry. Waiting, loading and unloading share the selected service’s included stop-time allowance. Intensive work, additional people or specialist equipment need prior review and an agreed plan. International assistance is confirmed individually.
Can I use one average size for a mixed load?
Please provide an item list instead. An average can hide a long, heavy or awkward piece, and total volume does not prove that different shapes fit together. Give each type of item its own packaged dimensions, weight and quantity. Include stacking restrictions and identify which pieces move between which stops on a multi-stop journey.
