Book ahead for a known delivery date
A scheduled courier delivery suits work you can plan in advance: a supplier collection, equipment transfer, stock movement or customer delivery on an agreed date. It can be a single journey or part of a recurring business requirement.
We arrange collections and deliveries to and from Cornwall and across the UK. Give the collection date, the time your goods will be ready, the receiving window and any deadline that cannot move.
Build a useful picture of regular work
For a weekly route or repeated collections, describe the usual addresses, frequency, item count and packaged weights and dimensions. Include multiple stops in the order they need to happen.
Tell us about peak periods, days when the load is larger and how much notice you can give if plans change. A typical week is a useful starting point for discussing the right service.
Make each handover part of the plan
Receiving hours, site contacts, loading equipment and access restrictions can be just as important on a regular route as on a one-off delivery. Explain what will be ready at each stop and who will receive it.
If the work requires an exclusive vehicle, additional handling help or a specific delivery slot, include this in the brief rather than assuming it forms part of every scheduled service.
Scheduled work and flexible service levels
A scheduled journey is work planned in advance. Standard and Economy are specific flexible service levels in which we select the collection and delivery days. Standard completes both within 5 working days; Economy within 7, counted from the first working day after the agreed goods-ready date. Weekends and applicable bank holidays do not count.
Economy is for small, flexible loads within its size, weight and handling limits. If you need to choose a particular date or have an urgent deadline, explain that requirement so a suitable Premium or Dedicated option can be reviewed. Compare all four service levels in the courier price guide.
Discuss the service and account arrangements together
Businesses with recurring requirements can apply for a trade account. Service availability, frequency, invoicing arrangements and any payment terms are reviewed individually and agreed before use.
An account application does not reserve a collection. For an immediate one-off job, request a separate quote; for a recurring route, email the outline or include it in your trade enquiry.
Useful next steps
A few details, made clear.
How does Standard delivery work?
Standard is for suitable goods when both collection and delivery days can be flexible. We plan the complete movement within up to five working days from the agreed goods-ready start. Shared transport and transfers are possible. Fixed appointments, urgent requirements, extra stops and additional handling need review before the service and price are confirmed.
When do the five or seven working days start?
For Standard and Economy, Day 1 is the next working day after the agreed goods-ready date. The allowance covers collection and delivery together, not a separate period for each. Working days are Monday to Friday, excluding the applicable UK bank holidays. We confirm the latest delivery date before booking and give each collection or delivery contact at least one working day’s notice; shorter notice needs that contact’s agreement. Notice alone cannot change an already agreed date or window.
What information helps with regular business deliveries?
Share your usual routes, frequency, typical goods, packaged sizes, receiving arrangements and any predictable busy periods. Mention what changes from job to job. We can discuss a practical service and quoting process, with availability, pricing and any account facilities agreed individually. Regular work does not automatically establish a fixed rate, reserved capacity or credit terms.
Can I request a fixed delivery time or receiving appointment?
Yes. Give the exact appointment, correct receiving entrance and a contact who can accept the goods. Dedicated and Premium allow requested dates and times for review. Standard uses flexible, operator-selected days, so a fixed appointment needs review for Premium or Dedicated. Fixed appointments are outside Economy. Make clear whether the deadline means arrival at the gate or completed unloading and handover.
